The type of work our consultants execute daily is both intellectually and physically challenging. Therefore, StrataCom addressed this dimension by constructing a culture that acknowledges this reality and illustrates our trust in the individuals on our team.
One example of this approach is our belief that schedules need not be rigid. We encourage our employees to set their own hours.
This flexible approach creates an environment of respect, and as long as the following three principles are never compromised, this positive work environment translates into a positive experience for our clients:
- The work is completed with the highest possible quality
- The client needs are never compromised and always fulfilled
- The consultant is always accessible to the client whose project he/she is executing
StrataCom also believes in providing excellent compensation. Employees are given performance reviews every 6 months and wage increases mirror this schedule. The performance review works not only as a review of the employee’s performance, but also the employee’s review of the company’s performance as the final question of every performance review is: “What can StrataCom do better?” Candor is encouraged and respected.
With the exception of bonuses, all work done by StrataCom employees is paid on an hourly basis. StrataCom firmly believes that our team members deserve to be compensated for every minute they invest in StrataCom.
Every employee is entitled to a total of 200 hours of vacation a year, which is accrued over the course of the year. This time can be used for vacation, sick leave, or any other time off.
Travel is a necessity in the consulting field. StrataCom feels it is only reasonable that our consultants are given the tools to do this correctly. Because of the inherent trust StrataCom has in its employees, all employees are issued a major bank credit card in StrataCom’s name. The employee is never expected to pay for company expenses and then be reimbursed. Instead, all expenses on these cards are sent directly to StrataCom.
StrataCom is also very aggressive about making sure our employees have the correct tools to do their job with the greatest of ease. This includes timely training, text books, certifications and current technology.
All of the above supports the fact that because we invest in our employees, we enable them to invest in our clients.
All aspects of life, including business, is circular. And we see the respect and trust we invest in our employees come back to us again and again.
